  • Main obligations
    All non-phase-in substances manufactured or imported in Taiwan and phase-in substances of more than 0.1 ton per year must be registered to the ministry of environment of Taiwan.
  • Substances exempted from registration
    • Naturally occurring substances
    • Chemicals imported together with equipment for the purpose of pilot operation
    • Non-isolated intermediate
    • Chemicals manufactured/imported for national defense
    • Impurities/Byproducts
    • Substances under customs supervision
    • Waste
    • Chemicals controlled by other existing laws

  • Late
    pre-registration
    • In case of firstly manufacturing/importing phase-in substances over 0.1 ton per year, since April 1, 2016
    • Registration within six months after first
      manufacture/import
  • Formal registration
    • In case of firstly manufacturing/importing phase-in substances over 1 ton per year, that is announced by the ministry of environment of Taiwan
    • Registration within grace period announced by the
      ministry of environment of Taiwan
    • Submission of registration data according to
      manufacturing/import tonnage category
